Plenary Speaker – Prof. Joan B. Broderick

Wednesday June 28 at 7:15 pm

The opening ceremony will feature Prof. Joan Broderick (Montana State University) as the plenary speaker. Prof. Broderick, recently elected to two prestigious national academies, is well-known for her advancements in bioinorganic chemistry, specifically the structure and function of iron-sulfur clusters. Her work has been described as “beautiful science” by JoAnne Stubbe; Joan will be joined by numerous past and present collaborators and colleagues as part of a special symposium in her honor (all day on Thursday June 29).

NeXus Session – Quantum States of Light

Thursday June 29 at 2:00 pm

This sponsored session leverages unique, world-class infrastructure affiliated with the MonArk Foundry to focus on new developments in solid-state material platforms for creating quantum states of light and using quantum states of light for sensing and optical spectroscopy. The session will be chaired by Prof. Nicholas J. Borys.

Closing Ceremony – Food Truck Rodeo – Awards Presentation

Friday June 30 at 6:00 pm

To close the meeting, take a short walk from campus and join us at the historic Story Mansion for a memorable summer evening under the Big Sky, with artisanal food provided by The Mighty Spork Food Truck and craft beer provided by Bozeman Brewing Company! We’ll recognize the regional award winners and close out NORM 2023 with food, fun, and new friends.
